What is FLIP?

FLIP stands for Flexible Learning Intervention Pathway – and it is what it says. FLIP provides students with an intervention pathway when they are disconnected from mainstream education. FLIP is an online, personalised learning program for students.

Ballarat High School is the lead school and employs a program manager, teachers (referred to as Learning Mentors), a youth counsellor and support staff. Learning Mentors negotiate the individual learning plans with each student and support you in achieving your goals. Blended programs may be delivered by both FLIP and the home school or other providers as required.

The purpose of FLIP is to provide a student with a revitalised pathway and changes that will re-engage the student in mainstream education, or lead them to an alternative educational or employment option.
